Ask your child if she/he would like to lead the family's prayer time. If not, pray a simple prayer and ask them to recite The Lord's Prayer when you are finished. Be sure to tell them that prayer is talking to God and that they can talk to God anytime about anything.

This story tells of Simon Peter who was and ordinary man called by Jesus to do extraordinary things. Peter was given the power to draw men to God. After reading about Simon Peter, What do you think your God given "Super Power" is? How do you plan on using it to show people who Jesus is?

God, thank You for Your Holy Spirit, and the fruit it produces, including joy. Help us to experience the joy of The Lord as my strength and take away anything that does not give us joy.
