O. Christopher BUCKNER, MDIV


Reverend O. Christopher Buckner grew up in Decatur, Georgia where much of his early spiritual development happened at the Beulah Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jerry Black. Throughout his childhood, he served in various ministries. Upon graduation from high school, he then attended Howard University in Washington, DC, where he majored in Radio, TV, & Film and minored in English and graduated in 2009.

In the spring of 2010, he enrolled at Palmer Theological Seminary, the seminary at Eastern University graduating in May, 2013 with a Master of Divinity. During his time in Philadelphia, he was a member of the Sharon Baptist Church under Bishop Keith W. Reed, Sr. At Sharon, Buckner was licensed in 2013 and ordained in 2015. He served on the pastoral staff of Sharon overseeing the Worship and Arts ministries.

In 2018 he relocated to the Atlanta area and resumed service as a member of Beulah. He joined InterVarsity Christian Fellowship serving as a Campus Staff Minister for Graduate Students and Faculty at Georgia Tech. 

Reverend Buckner will now serve as Discipleship Pastor here at The Family of Faith. His life can be summed up by 1 Samuel 7:12, “...thus far, The Lord has helped us.”
