"AfterWORD" is a home-based Bible study for children. It is led by parents and based on Sunday's sermon.
One of the things that COVID-19 has done is return the "sanctuary" - the dwelling place of God - to the hearts and homes of God's people. While we have not been able to gather en masse, we yet have an obligation to make disciples.
At Peaceful Rest, we value people. Especially young people. Thank you for allowing us to be your partners in the faith and moral development of your children. Thus, we'd like to try something new. [You all know I like innovative things!] Over the next few weeks, we will provide spiritual content based on the weekly sermon for you to engage and disciple your child(ren) in your home. The biblical precedent for this is Deuteronomy 11:18-19.
Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. (NIV)
Let's give it a try!
